IFA Jahresausstellung 

Design Studio : Installation, curation and graphic concept for the Jahresausstellung of T.U. Berlin  2019

Once a year, the Faculty of Architecture at TU Berlin presents student work in a large public exhibition. Over time, however, the event had increasingly lost its relevance as a platform for exchange and discussion. Regarding the small budget we had, we were looking for a cheap, smart and ecological material to recreate a festive ambiance for discussions...

and found our working desks as a potential resource. 

After removing the tabletops, we developed a custom plug-in system that allowed the table frames to be stacked into three seven-metre-high towers. Together, these towers and tables on different levels formed a temporary discussion arena where people could easily passed by and participate.

Following the event, the installation was completely dismantled and the desks returned to their original use. The plug-in system, however, remained and continues to be used by the university for a variety of events and temporary installations.
